Grass Fed, the recently opened only-one-thing-on-the-dinner-menu shabby chic steakhouse in Bucktown, is branching out. At least a little bit. In addition to offering a coffee during the day, starting today, Grass Fed introduced a new lunch. The restaurant will have Grass Fed burgers, various salads, like a Brussels sprout salad or quinoa salad, and paninis like a steak panini or golden beet panini.
Also, tonight the restaurant kicks off Monday night burger night, where for $12 you can get an in-house butchered, aged grass-fed burger served with thin-cut fries housemade pickles, white cheddar and houseade aioli. They'll also offer select bottles of $3 beer and some bottles and carafes of wine at half off.
Grass Fed recently started doing weekend brunch on both Saturday and Sunday. While the dinner menu is more limited, brunch offerings are wider with things like steak and eggs (naturally, steak is their signature item); breakfast burger with fried egg and hollandaise; fried chicken and waffles; green eggs no ham (egg whites, avocado, arugula and parm); and the market scramble with market vegetables. And, of course, wash it down with a Bloody Mary or Maria, made with their house-infused jalapeño vodka or tequila.
