If you’ve ever wondered how your food gets from the farm to your plate, the upcoming dinner experience Farm to Fork will have all of your answers. Taking place on Saturday, September 22 at McDonald Farm in Naperville, Chef Valerie Bolon (MK, Hot Chocolate and Gordon) will prepare a multi-course dinner using natural products from local farms. The unique event will connect diners with local craftsmen and immerse them in all aspects of the meal. Guests will tour the farm, taste vegetables from the field and learn about sustainable agriculture and the process by which the food arrives at the table.
The seasonal, six-course menu will be crafted from natural, local ingredients and reservations can be made online for outdoor seatings at 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. The cost is $95 with optional alcohol pairings for an additional $35.
