Graham Elliot is a busy guy. He recently opened his third restaurant, g.e.b., in the West Loop, and just came off a successful weekend helping pull together the Lollapalooza Chow Town food court and cooking for a number of bands who performed. Elliot, apparently not one to rest, is already talking about his next spots, but they may not be in Chicago.
The MasterChef judge, who has discussed possibly opening Grahamburger in Chicago, said he is eyeing California for a future project. "My restaurant partner, Merlin Verrier, is from that area and I have to be out there to film MasterChef, so I just love that area," Elliot told the Daily Meal. "It’s a good energy and I think what we do would translate well there."
But L.A. isn't the only big town the big man has his sights set on. Elliot told Eater he and Roots drummer Questlove, with who he recently launched catering business ?uest Loves Food, are looking at possibly opening a restaurant in New York. "We really have no idea where its going," Elliot said. "The restaurant would be in Manhattan and be a small spot that would focus on fried chicken or classic Graham Elliot dishes or different sides."
