What do you do when you already have one successful restaurant? Open another. That's what the guys behind Chicago Cut Steakhouse, David Flom and Matthew Moore, plan to do this fall when they open Local.
The restaurant, to open inside the Hilton Suites Hotel at Delaware and Mies van der Rohe Way in Streeterville, will offer upscale comfort food, like meatloaf with an old-fashioned Dr. Pepper sauce, fried chicken and waffles, chicken pot pie and Berkshire pig ribs. The ingredients will mostly be sourced locally, hence the name.
The inspiration for Local comes from all-American meals the guys would have at home by their moms using value ingredients. Local will take things up a few notches.
