On Monday night, The Punch Wars Summer Games descended upon Chicago's Vertigo Sky Lounge, wowing guests with a competition of Olympic-sized proportions,
featuring the movers and shakers in the world of mixology. Utilizing a fully
stocked supply of GREY GOOSE Vodka, contenders tried their luck in contests
like The Pouring Sprint, the Garnish Styling Challenge and Best Behind-the-Bar
Routine.
Acclaimed chef Paul Virant of Perennial Virant and Vie, served as a judge alongside SAVEUR contributor Carly Fisher and Grey Goose brand master, Aaron Rodonis.
The final battle of the evening had contenders competing to create the ultimate
punch (using a secret ingredient). A big congrats to Lynn House of Blackbird for rising to the challenge with her winning recipe, Diamonds and Pears. House will head to the final battle in Miami on October 16.
