On Sept. 6, Telegraph will host its first seasonal "Cooking With Wine" dinner and chef Johnny Anderes has invited his pal, Justin Large (Big Star, Avec), to join him in the kitchen.
The pair will craft a five-course family-style meal inspired by the cuisine of Germany and Austria that will be set at the restaurant's communal table. The menu will include cheese and cured meats, smoked golden trout, quail stuffed with red wine duck sausage, sauerbraten of beef, horseradish, beets, cheese spaetzle and a summer rumtopf of berries and melon.
Sommelier Jeremy Quinn is pairing the wine and beer, which will be all you can drink—totally worth the price of admission right there if you've ever had the opportunity to experience Quinn's beverage expertise. The first seating for the dinner, which costs $65 a head, is at 6:30 with the second starting at 9:00. Reservations can be made at 773-292-9463.
