On Sunday, Graham Elliot, clad in his own Cubs jersey and signature glasses, stepped into the booth at Wrigley Field to sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch. Elliot is not one to shy away from a media opp, but in this case, he showed he could actually carry a tune.
Elliot said last week he was planning to go "lounge singer style" and he did, to an extent, but sounded also like he was channeling his inner Harry Caray when prompting Cubs fans to sing along. At the end of the song, he tossed his hat into the crowd, offering up a souvenir.
Elliot is yet another Chicago chef in recent history to sing the famous 7th inning stretch song. Last year, Stephanie Izard stepped into the booth and belted it out. Who else would you like to see sing it?
