While the name may not scream dinner, Chuck's Manufacturing is a new restaurant that will go into the vacated China Grill space at the Hard Rock Hotel. The restaurant, which pays homage to owner Carrie Becker's dad's successful auto industry career, will attempt to attract a business crowd during the day as well as post-work for cocktails and dinner.
The 4,000 square-foot space, being redesigned by 555 International with mixed lounge and dining seating, an expansive bar for cocktailing and a video wall, will offer free Wi-Fi and charging stations.
In addition to a menu of flavored popcorn and flavored vodka at the bar, chef de cuisine Justin Frankenberg will offer an American menu of dishes like the PBLT (a BLT with pork belly); Diplomat Burger (patty with melted danablu and toasted almonds on a pretzel bun); CM Crab Cake with pancetta, grilled tomato, cornichons and sweet remoulade; Flyin' High Chicken (herb marinated breast with the wing attached, polenta, cherry poppers and spicy greens) and a double cut pork chop with brown sugar brine, golden raisins and truffled mac.
Chuck's will also have gourmet mini corn dogs and a trio of Two Brothers-soaked and grilled brats served with a shot of Two Brothers beer. Watch for Chuck's Manufacturing to open in August.
