With RPM Italian only a few months old, it looks like the partners are capitalizing on the success of the River North hot spot. Word leaked yesterday that RJ and Jerrod Melman are once again teaming with Bill and Giuliana Rancic for a new concept: RPM Steak.
Bill Rancic told US Weekly construction on RPM Steak has already begun and that it should be ready to open in early 2013 before they open the next restaurant in Vegas. Eater has learned that the new restaurant, which is being designed by Jeffrey Beers International (Japonais), will be on Kinzie behind Paris Club, another Melman restaurant.
When asked whether Chicago needs another steak house, RJ Melman said the chef Doug Psaltis-helmed spot will be "cool and different." Other than that, no details were available.
