Vera Introducing Otro Bar to Highlight Seasonal Items

If you're looking for a little lighter fare this summer, Vera just made some changes that will make you happy. The Spanish-focused wine bar just converted its cheese bar (you know that spot at the end of the liquor bar stocked with cheese and charcuterie) into Otro Bar. Meaning "another," Otro Bar will now focus on serving seasonal, market-driven marinated vegetables, fresh salads and fruit in both sweet and savory preps.

In addition, chef/owner Mark Mendez has added daily plates, placas del dia, to focus on one daily special, like cochinillo on Tuesdays (classic roast baby pig) for $25, veal shank on Thursdays for $24 and lobster paella, made with clams, squid and chorizo, on Sundays for $32. Otro Bar will also continue to offer artisanal cheese, marinated olives and sliced-to-order jamon Iberico, available in full and half orders. The offerings at Otro Bar will change seasonally.
