Up until this year, you had plenty of time to meander down to Grant Park and gorge yourself on everything from pizza and ribs to turkey legs and burgers during Taste of Chicago. This year, things are different. First off, Taste is half the time so you only have five days to gorge. Second, no more turkey legs (we know, we're heartbroken, too). But that doesn't mean you can't still get great grub for the next five days starting tomorrow, July 11.
So, in addition to the regular vendors setting up everyday for the food fest, you also will see a number of pop-up restaurants—three each day for the five days. Those restaurants include Jin Ju, Beat Kitchen, Tre Kroner, Inspiration Kitchen, LM Restaurant, Cafe Trinidad, Chicago Raw and more.
If you don't plan on going down to Grant Park everyday to check out the pop-ups, plan on hitting some of the permanent vendors who will be there each day like Abbey Pub, Bacino's Pizza, Eli's Cheesecake, Harold's Chicken, Gold Coast Dogs, Iyanze, O'Brien's, Lao Sze Chuan, Ricobene's, Robinson's No. 1 Ribs, The Smoke Daddy and others.
And like last year, if you're looking for healthier options amidst the fried food, burgers and pizza, look for the Humana Healthier Choice options green apple icon designation smarter food choices. Chicago, are you ready to get your Taste on?
