Eater hears Stephanie Izard is working on opening a chain of fast-casual chicken-focused restaurants with her partners Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm of the Boka Restaurant Group. The chain would likely launch in Chicago, move into other markets from there and always use locally sourced chicken.
Depending on the scope of this alleged chain, will the Top Chef winner get spread too thin? The Girl & the Goat is about to celebrate its second anniversary and is still packing in the crowds and the Little Goat, Izard's diner concept, is currently under construction. So the question begs: Will Izard work the name goat into a chicken concept? Probably not, but let's hope she doesn't call it Girl & the Chicken. Maybe Chick & The Cluck?
