Over the last two weeks, Perennial Virant's beverage director Erin Hayes has teased out what her forthcoming cocktail program at the J. Parker will look like. Going with a destinations theme, she has already revealed the first two locales: Mexico and Spain.
Now to put a cap on the trio of destinations, Hayes told Eater exclusively that the final spot she's pulling cocktail inspiration from is Cuba. Hayes will add on four more drinks to the first cocktail list including a mojito with Flor de Cana rum and fresh werp farm mint and a daiquiri with Matusalem Rum and fresh lime juice.
Hayes will also include two of her own: the Hello Havana (Matusalem Rum, house banana liqueur, passion fruit puree, fresh lime juice and house cigar bitters) and the Cuban #2 Punch (Matusalem Rum, Cointreau, Cynar Ginger Beer, fresh lemon juice and Angostura bitters). Watch for the J. Parker to open in mid-July.· Erin Hayes Introducing Cocktail 'Destinations' Program at The J. Parker This Summer [~EChi~]
