Mark your calendars – Dose Market’s first anniversary is this Sunday, June 24, which means a number of food and fashion vendors will be out to help you help them celebrate being one. Vendors will bring their tastiest treats to the River East Art Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: just enough time to get your fill of everything from baked goods and booze to vintage clothing and home décor.
Begin with an iced horchata latte from Crop to Cup and breakfast from Bake or Bagel on Damen. Work it off as you check out designs by Saffron Vintage, AGGA B and SDK’s debut of summer essentials. Swing by Independence and Artfully Disheveled for a mix of menswear or get your groom on with the Angry Barber.
That shopping should help work up an appetite for lunchtime. Sausages from Markethouse, barbecue from Lillie’s Q and artisan cheeses from Great American Cheese Collection go perfectly with complimentary brews from Goose Island and Spicebox Whisky. Sample barrel-aged fish sauce and maple syrups from Blis, bloody mary mix from Stu’s and Indian cooking kits from Kaveli.
If you’re looking for something on the sweeter side, try a snazzy PB&J from Yumbutter or a scoop of Snookelfritz ice cream. And if you like your dessert more au natural, don’t miss Seedling Fruit’s local blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. Top Chef alum Grayson Schmitz will be serving a take on a family recipe – champagne-soaked strawberry cream puffs.
Don’t be a party pooper. Purchase tickets for June 24’s Dose Market online for $8 or $10 at the door.
