Paul Virant Welcomes April Bloomfield from NY's Spotted Pig for Special Dinner

New, 2 comments

On July 15, Paul Virant will host a dinner at Perennial Virant in honor of celebrated New York chef (and fellow 2007 Food & Wine best new chef) April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig, The Breslin, the John Dory) and her recently released cookbook, A Girl and Her Pig: Recipes and Stories. The multi-course dinner, at $200 a pop, will include beverage pairings for each course as well as a signed book by Bloomfield for each guest.

Think $200 is a lot of ask for just the two chefs? Well, good thing they won't be alone. Bruce Sherman (North Pond), Paul Kahan (Blackbird), Nathan Sears (Vie) and Elissa Narrow, the pastry chef at Vie and Perennial Virant, will each create a course inspired by a recipe in Bloomfield's book. Feel better about dropping two bills? If so, call 312-981-7070 to reserve your spot. And then book a flight to New York because Bloomfield returned the favor and invited Virant to do a dinner at the Spotted Pig this fall.
