One of the cooler aspects about the Violet Hour, aside from its groundbreaking cocktail program, is its support for local artists as evidenced by the ever-changing murals on the lounge's facade. A little more than a week ago, artist Benjamin Oakley Wilson painted over the existing mural to create the image of a massive whale.
Videographer and creative director Max Mearsheimer captured the project in a two-and-a-half-minute time-lapse video and set it to the Delta Spirit's "Empty House." Wilson utilized mostly spray paint to create the whale's image, which currently lives outside Violet Hour. Go watch it being made.
