james-beard-medal-media-awards-150.jpgFriday night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2012 James Beard Foundation Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards. The big winners were Nathan Myhrvold's Modernist Cuisine with two awards (including "Cookbook of the Year") and Saveur magazine with three awards (including "Food Coverage in a Food-Focused Publication"). Locally, WBEZ host Nina Barrett won best "Radio Show/Audio Webcast" for Fear of Frying: Culinary Nightmares.
