Rick Bayless Eyes Midway for Restaurant Expansion

Hot on the heels of yesterday's summer re-post of our Airport Dining Guides at Midway and O'Hare, the Sun-Times reports that Rick Bayless is looking to add a restaurant to the South Side airport.

Bayless already has two outposts of his Tortas Frontera at O'Hare (as well as one inside the Chase Tower in the Loop) so it makes sense that the Xoco and Frontera Grill owner wants to also feed folks flying out of Midway. He submitted a request to the Chicago Department of Aviation, which is now reviewing all new proposals for food and beverage concessions at the airport. No word yet on whether he wants to open another Tortas Frontera or a new concept.
