Nightwood's Annual Fête de Rosé Takes Place May 20

For the third year in a row, Nightwood is welcoming the warm weather with its Fête de Rosé, featuring the city's longest list of rosé wines by the glass. While it may not sound like a reason to celebrate, fans of the pink rejoice as this is really a comprehensive list of rosé wines. Ask any oenophile and they'll tell you rosé, especially in the summer, is the way to go.

The Fête de Rosé takes place on May 20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Nightwood's covered patio. The cost is $20 a person and you'll get to enjoy rosé-friendly bites prepared by chef Jason Vincent and his crew and, of course, tastes of plenty of rosé from nearly two dozen wineries from Washington to California to France. Call 312-526-3385 to reserve.

The night after the Fête, Nightwood is holding its fourth Cellar Series wine dinner featuring Firelands Winery, which is located on Isle St. George off the coast, of all places, Sandusky, Ohio. Vincent, a Cleveland native, will prepare a five-course dinner to pair with the wines. The dinner, capped at 30 people, costs $60 and reservations are required. Added bonus: the winemaker is making the trek to Chicago for the dinner. Check out the full menu, as well as future wine dinners, online.
