With June just around the corner, it's time to gear up for Wine Enthusiast's Toast of the Town 2012. With over 500 world-class wines and nearly 50 Chicago restaurants offering dishes, it's sure to be a night of indulgence (if not some intoxication).
Participating restaurants range from the classics, including Cafe de Architectes, Coco Pazzo and Shaw's Crab House to the eclectic, like Nellcôte, Tavernita, Mercadito and RA Sushi.
Vineyards from around the world will offer tastings of all the cabs, zins and pinots you could ask for. Try Napa Valley's B Side, Italy's Tenuta San Leonardo or selections from Yalumba, Australia's oldest family-owned winery. If you're looking for something a little frothier, Allagash will be flowing as well.
The celebration takes place on June 8 at the Field Museum. Save some money by purchasing your early bird tickets now for $99. For you booze connoisseurs, VIP tickets are now available for admission to the Grand Tasting. Tickets for the extra hour of wine and exclusive tastings start at $149. Get tickets and see the full list of wineries and restaurants online.
