Whenever a restaurant reaches a milestone, there's always reason to celebrate. But with Bistro Campagne's 10th anniversary, the rejoicing is bittersweet. Earlier this year, Bistro Campagne's chef/owner Michael Altenberg unexpectedly passed away. His team is honoring his memory and love for cooking by offering a number of specials between today and May 31.
Chef Adam Dittmer has created a special 10-year anniversary menu that will be offered alongside the restaurant's regular menu. In addition, the staff has handpicked five dishes to be offered as specials, including frog legs "Bernard Loiseau;" a Serrano tartine with Serrano ham, medjool date puree and watercress; and lamb tagine with braised lamb shoulder, zucchini and squash. They'll also offer special bottles of Mas de Gourgonnier and Chapoutier wineries, two of Bistro Campagne's classic cocktails, and a specially priced bottle of Tripel Karmeliet beer, which was Altenberg's favorite and has been on the menu since the restaurant opened.
