Three Floyds Exploring Brewpub Locations in Chicago

New, 3 comments

Did you hear that? That cheer that just swept across the city? It the collective shout of "hell yeah" by beer geeks rejoicing the news that Three Floyds may open a brewpub in the city.

Owner Nick Floyd tells the Trib's Josh Noel that he is scouting spots to open a bar in the city, about 40 minutes away from the original location at his Munster, Ind., brewery. He's pretty tight-lipped on where, but said it would be "anywhere but the Loop." As for timing? Sometime in the "near future."

And if you're planning a trip to Europe, keep an eye out for a possible Floyd-owned pub in Amsterdam, London or Copenhagen; Floyd said he's talking with Mikkeller beer owner Mikkel Borg Bjergso about opening something in Western Europe. Definitely news to raise a pint to.
