Chicago: That Tippling Town

New, 1 comment

Green-Door-150.jpgChicago is a drinking town. That's what a reporter from the LA Times discovered on a recent visit and, more so, that we drink well. Her explorations took her through Sable, The Aviary, Violet Hour and other newer hot spots. But also visited Twin Anchors and called out the Green Door Tavern and The Kerryman as historical speakeasies. The piece, which drops in Sunday's travel section, gives props to Chicago for knowing its spirits. No one ever said Chicago didn't have spirit. [LA Times]
