Getting a piece of pie just got even easier. First Slice, an organization that helps feed Chicagoans afflicted by hunger, will open a new bakery today at 10 a.m. at 5357 N. Ashland in Andersonville. The shop was originally due to open in November, but was pushed back because of various reasons. This location will be the third First Slice, which uses its profits to assist their outreach and feed the needy; they also have spots at 4664 N. Manor and 4401 N. Ravenswood, inside the Lillstreet Art Center. Go buy baked goods and help the hungry. [A-Ville Daily]
