Chris Curren, who for the last four years, has been exec chef of Blue 13, just announced a new partnership. Curren, who also served as exec chef at Elate for a time last year before Michael Noll took over that kitchen, has teamed up with nightlife group LGN. Curren will serve as the culinary director for the group, which owns and runs Cedar Hotel and the recently closed Manor.
The group is transforming Manor into Stout Barrel House & Gallery, a new chef-driven American comfort food spot. Curren's menu at Stout Barrel House, which is still being developed, will focus on local and seasonal ingredients; the bar will have a focus on craft beers with 20 on draft. Meanwhile, Curren will remain the chef/partner at Blue 13.
