So what happens when you hit your Facebook wall and callously have a racist conversation with your equally racist friends? Well, if you're Jessica Elizabeth, a now-former bartender at Proof nightclub in the Gold Coast, you get fired.
On Thursday, Elizabeth and some pals had a pretty disgusting public conversation on Facebook disparaging African Americans, calling them "fucking animals," "entitled," "apes" and even dropping the N-word and other racial slurs. The conversation went viral and—big surprise here—Elizabeth was swiftly fired from Proof and now her Facebook page is locked.
Lucky for you, 312 Dining Diva captured a screen shot and you can see the entire thing online here, including all the offenders who added their own two cents. Apparently Proof's management is issuing a statement soon and that will be added when it's released. A source close to the club owners said, "Not only did she violate a policy instilled by her employer, racism is simply not tolerated by ownership or management in any way shape or form."

UPDATE: Proof's owners released a statement: Proof would like to confirm its belief in equality, fairness and tolerance to all our friends and partners. Sadly, on occasion, we are all exposed to ignorance and racism. We believe that by continuing to be true to our ideals and leading through our actions that each of us can be an agent for positive change.
