Charlie McKenna's Charity Wrap is Now at Falafill

It's the start of a new month, which also means the introduction of a new charity wrap at Falafill. This month's wrap is made by Charlie McKenna of Lillie's Q. Unlike the other charity wraps, which used Falafill's classic falafel, McKenna is using his own falafel recipe made of black eye peas for a more of a fritter like texture. Filling up the rest of the wrap is fried collard greens, coleslaw tossed in the Lillie Q Ivory Sauce, sautéed onion, and tomato.

Two dollars from each wrap (up from the usual $1 donation) will benefit the charity of McKenna's choice, The Katherine McKenna Brothers Foundation. This small foundation was actually created by McKenna's dad and uncle in honor of their sister who died of breast cancer. The money provides scholarships for the all-women's school Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. The wrap is only available until March 31 so get out there and support the cause.
