Furthering its commitment to keeping people caffeinated, Intelligentsia is gearing up to open its fourth full-scale cafe. When 1871, a new entrepreneurial-driven technology center in the Merchandise Mart run by the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center, opens May 2, it will include a brand new Intelligentsia coffee bar.
The 22-seat cafe, set to take over about 1,500 square feet at the entrance of the planned 50,000-square-foot center on the Mart's 12th floor, will feature pretty much everything you'll find at all other Intellgentsia cafes: coffee, tea, pastries and savory to-go food offerings from Pastoral. And because it's inside a technology center, it will, clearly, have Wi-Fi.
