It looks like Lettuce Entertain You is once again on the move. The restaurant group just opened RPM Italian and R.J. and Jerrod Melman are also working on reviving Bub City as well as a Tiki bar on the lower level with mixologist Paul McGee. Now it looks like the company is branching out from River North to Wicker Park.
LEYE is reportedly working with Smithfield Properties to open two new restaurant concepts on Division Street. In September, Smithfield purchased the the 27,000 square foot L. Miller & Son Lumber Company (1815 W. Division) for $3.2 million and is hoping to raze the building to then erect a five-story glass and steel mixed-use building for commercial and residential purposes. LEYE is exploring the possibility of opening two restaurants on the street level, but seems to be in the very early stages since the greenlighting of the whole project is still pending zoning approval.
