The results are in for Food & Wine's People's Best New Chef and no one from Chicago won. Of the 10 hopefuls from the Great Lakes region, seven hailed from Chicago. But in the end, Daniel Wright, a former chicago chef now at Cincinnati's Senate, took the region (but not the nation). Sure, the local votes likely got divided up, but what stings the most? That Wright's "must-try dish" according to F&W is a ... wait for it .. signature Chicago dog with sport peppers, dill pickle and celery salt." At least Chicago style got the nod. [F&W]
