Following last week’s opening of Publican Quality Meats, Chicago’s meat purveyors will again take center stage at the Good Food Festival’s premiere of Michael Gebert’s film The Butcher’s Karma. Taking place on Feb. 23, 6:30 p.m. at Uncommon Ground, the film focuses on the sustainable meat world and the benefits of locally raised and farmed meats. Gebert goes behind the minds of Paul Kahan of Publican Quality Meats, Rob Levitt of Butcher & Larder, and Bartlett Durand of Black Earth Meats for answers.
The event will also include a three-course dinner featuring locally sourced meat and wine from Candid Wines. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A session with Levitt and Durand. Tickets can be purchased online now.
