Guide: Where to Eat During Restaurant Week

With Chicago Restaurant Week just around the corner, there will be plenty of opportunities to feed your stomach while still keeping your wallet happy. Running from Feb. 16 to 27, over 200 restaurants will be offering special prix fixe lunch and dinner menus every day. Whether it's an old favorite or a new experience, it's hard to go wrong with so many options to choose from. While some spots are already fully booked, here is a list of places that can still satisfy your taste buds.

1) The Bristol
Where: 2152 N. Damen
What: Dinner; a four-course menu of persimmon salad, tajarin, beef osso bucco, and vanille crème dessert.

What: Dinner; four courses of pinxto, tapas, paella and dessert options from the regular menu.

3) Carnivale

What: Lunch and dinner; for lunch or dinner choose from soup or salad to start, Spanish seafood stew, lechon asado or vegetable paella for a second course, and an ice cream sandwich or sticky bun dessert.

4) The Drawing Room

What: Dinner; three courses whose options include tempura avocado and beef tartare as starters, spice rubbed pork loin and mahi mahi as mains, and Black Dog gelato, pistachio mousse and chocolate panna cotta for dessert.

5) Japonais

What: Lunch and dinner; for lunch choose from shared appetizers such as lobster spring rolls and maki, then select an entrée including miso barbeque chicken and Japonais fried rice, and finish with a chocolate mascarpone mousse cake or an assortment of ice creams for dessert. The dinner menu offers a similar selection as well as including Wagyu carpaccio, salmon Japonais, and Japanese ribs as some of the options.

What: Lunch and dinner; the dinner menu includes three courses starting with opening options such as Serrano ham and chorizo croquettes or Spanish style omelet, entrees of shrimp and chorizo with garbanzo bean puree or butternut squash dumplings with lamb ragout, and milk chocolate croquettes for dessert.
