The Meeker Mansion

LAKE VIEW— After Industrialist Arthur Meeker's mansion at 3030 N Lake Shore Drive was carved up into duplex condos, it didn't take long for three of the four to sell. The stubborn fourth languished for nearly three years before finally closing in January. For your pleasure, Curbed delivers the specs and listing photos.

EVANSTON— Northwestern recently made great strides in articulating a few big pieces of their Southeastern Campus Vision. On the heals of last month's new music building rendering come new renderings for a Visitors Center and Sailing Center. Come check the eye-popping designs!

SOUTH LOOP— AMLI Residential is an old pro in the rental market, and they seem to be in their element right now, with major River North construction underway and a proposal on the boards for a 398-unit development at Clark & Polk. The preliminary mock-up imagines twin 11-story buildings, a far cry from the 40+ story towers planned by AvalonBay in '08.

UPTOWN— The PriceChopper has been bullying this colossal Uptown Queen Anne for far too long. Curbed takes a look at the goods and the problems of location. With nearly $400K already trimmed, what will it take to attract a buyer?
