Trotter's Wine Auction Closes; Totals Over $1MM

Even though he still has his whole restaurant to clear out, Charlie Trotter is now $1,136,069 richer, to be exact, as the second, online part of his wine auction is now completed. He nabbed over $900,000 from the first part of the live auction at Christie's. According to Crain's, the most expensive item sold was a two-bottle lot of 1945 Chateau Haut-Brion, which went for $5,445.

We have a feeling that number will continue to climb as the contents of Charlie Trotter's restaurant hits the auction block next week.
