The Trib's Mark Caro Booted From Trotter's Auction

New, 16 comments

Mark Caro, the Chicago Tribune reporter who wrote an extensive multi-part series about the closing of famed restaurant Charlie Trotter's was thrown out of the preview for today's giant auction of everything in the restaurant. Caro tweeted about the incident and later told Chicagoist that he had a good relationship with Trotter while conducting his articles, but that the chef hadn't been in touch since they ran in August.

The incident came about six months after Graham Elliot kicked restaurant writer Steve Dolinsky out of his restaurant G.E.B. because he had live tweeted about a disappointing meal at Trotter's. Chef Trotter and his allies know how to hold a grudge.
