Looks like Phil Tadros' entrepreneurial juices are kicking into high gear again as his Bow Truss Coffee Roasters brand is about to get bigger. Tadros, who opened the first roasting works and cafe in East Lakeview in June has signed a lease to open a second spot at 406 N. Wells up the street from the Merchandise Mart and just off the Brown Line.
The new location will have about 20 seats and a full espresso bar with pour over and drip coffee and bags of whole beans. It won't have Wi-Fi, food or bathrooms. "Just amazing coffee," Tadros said, who is eyeing Old Town for a third location. "We just want to give people a nice boost on the go or a cozy time out."
