According to the Wicker Park Bucktown Insider's Guide, MC Restaurant & Lounge has closed. The French-Vietnamese BYO spot at 1401 N. Ashland was definitely in a high-traffic, well-populated area, but the reason for its closure is currently unknown. As the only restaurant of its kind in the area, it was well-known for its banh mi sandwiches, but many Yelp posts complained about the poor service. The restaurant's website is down and its phone is out of service so Eater was not able to reach owner management for a comment. [WPBIG]
