Ward Eight Unlocks Doors Tonight; Opens Dec. 12

New, 1 comment

If you are reminiscent of the days before In Fine Spirits transformed into Premise, and now Brasserie 54 by LM, you may want to check out the soon-to-be open Ward Eight, a new cocktail lounge and shop, from Anne Carlson and Cody Modeer formerly of In Fine Spirits. The 35 seat intimate space will offer a menu of local and small batch liquor, with a short, carefully sourced wine and beer list. There will also be a small food menu with cheeses, meats and sandwiches, which, according to Chicago Magazine, In Fine Spirits' former chef, Marianne Sundquist consulted on.

Ward Eight, which will also eventually host cocktail and wine classes as well, doesn't officially open its doors until December 12, but is planning to "unlock the doors" tonight from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. for a sneak peek of the spot. If you miss your chance tonight, Modeer says they plan to have a few more soft openings in the coming weeks as well.
