Charles Joly generally can be found these days at The Aviary, but he still manages to get out and about, but, as he says, "With most busy bartenders, days off can be few and far between. I generally mix it up between trying to check out new spots and spending some QT with friends at local standbys. My newest spot to grab a cheeky is La Sirena. The proximity to work helps and the vibe couldn't be friendlier or more inviting. In the hood, our local spot is The Orbit Room. Good music, great staff and a solid kitchen. And it's always good to visit our friends when you can as well, popping by Barrelhouse Flat for an industry pow wow." And, while he's known for mixing up a mean cocktail, Joly tends to drink spirits on their own or with a bit of ice.
