Jet's Pizza Coming to Chicago; Beard Papa's Closes

LAKEVIEW— A supposedly cultishly loved Michigan pizza chain Jet's Pizza is coming to Chicago, DNA Info reports. They plan on opening in the third week of December at 2811 N. Ashland Ave. [DNA Info]

THE LOOP— Yesterday, the only Chicago location of Japanese cream puff masters Beard Papa's announced that they were closing up shop after two years. Effective immediately. The people on Twitter were not happy. [Chicagoist]

BEER HEREJohn Laffler, a "innovation brewer" at Goose Island, is leaving the company to start his own brewery with a former Two Brothers brewer, Dave Bleitner. It will be called Off Color Crewing, and it will be located in a 7,500 square-foot warehouse near Armitage Avenue. They plan on producing beer this coming March. [CT]

LINCOLN PARK2 Sparrows is hosting a special dinner this Friday with Half Acre Beer Company. It will include five courses and five beer pairings. The price is $60 a head before tax and tip. [EaterWire]
