NORTHWEST SIDE— Three masked would-be burglars attempted to rob Chicago Sweet Connection Bakery, a commercial bakery on the Northwest Side, at gunpoint late Saturday night. Some employees escaped and called police, and the suspects fled, taking nothing. The police have yet to apprehend them. [CT]
