Last month, Mercadito Hospitality said they plan to open their newest project, Little Market Brasserie, sometime early this winter. Now chef/partner Ryan Poli says they hope—but are not making any promises or guarantees—to have the new restaurant open at the Talbott Hotel before Christmas.
Poli and his business partner, Alfredo Sandoval, traveled to numerous cities around the U.S. to research for their French-inspired American brasserie, which Poli said he wants to be a casual, go-to neighborhood spot. He gave Eater a sneak peek of the menu, which will be "simple, fresh and straightforward." He prepared a red wine-braised short rib with potato puree, carrots and pearl onions, one of the many large plates that will be featured on the menu when LBM opens, hopefully before Xmas.
