Anthony Bourdain's Chicago Layover

New, 4 comments

Boudain-112012.jpgAnthony Bourdain says Chicago "is a city without an inferiority complex." During the Chicago-focused season opener of The Layover, which aired Monday night, he says it's ironic the city is "most famous for something that sucks," referring to deep-dish pizza. He visits Girl & The Goat, Doughnut Vault, Publican, Johnnie's Beef and Simon's Tavern, where "you walk in the door here it's like getting a big, boozy hug from Pippi Longstocking." Lastly, of the Chicago hot dog, he says it's, "the finest hot dog on the planet. There, I said it, and I meant it. Now fuck off." [~E~]
