Is Rick Tramonto planning a return to the Chicago dining scene? The chef, who gained notoriety in Chicago through restaurants like Trio and Tru, has lately focused on Restaurant R'evolution in New Orleans. However, he may have his sights set back on the Windy City.
Tramonto, who has said in the past he wants to have one if not two new projects in Chicago, said he and R'evolution partner John Folse are "looking into Chicago now" and "are getting a team together" that could possibly include ex-wife and former partner pastry chef Gale Gand. Don't expect fine dining. "It won't be three-star Michelin," Tramonto told Crain's. "It will be in the city and it will be fun."
