RIVER NORTH—The new 14,000-square-foot, bi-level John Barleycorn with a 75-foot retractable roof, officially opens tonight at 4 p.m. at 149 W. Kinzie. Lunch will start Friday at 11 a.m. and brunch will kick off this weekend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. [EaterWire]
