If the owners of Northwest Side Italian spot Zia's Trattoria get their wish, they'll be opening another outpost of their beloved neighborhood joint in Lakeview. Owners Joe and Mary Kay Calabrese spoke at the Southport Neighbor's Association meeting on Monday and outlined their plans for the new restaurant.

If it gets the green light, the new Zia's, which will also add a bit of a French bistro influence, will have about 230 seats and will get a complete makeover. Joe Calabrese said a recent trip to Napa, Calif., inspired them to have the interior look like a tasting room with cabinets of wine lining the walls. They may offer free valet in an adjacent lot and are hoping to get open in time for summer.
