A fire that broke out in an apartment above popular Wicker Park cafe Alliance Bakery only caused the business to temporarily close. Initial reports said Alliance might be closed for a few days, but owner Peter Rios tells Eater they're back in business.

"We stopped the water at the second level and we cleaned it up good," Rios said. "We opend back up around noon. It was just an interruption to our morning business." Rios added that fortunately no one was seriously hurt, but that the apartment where the fire started was in pretty bad shape and that unfortunately those tenants would be displaced.
