Where to Celebrate the Beaujolais Nouveau Nov. 15

This Thursday, marks the release of this year's Beaujolais Nouveau, an extremely young, French red wine made from Gamay grapes. According to French law, it can not be released until 12:01 a.m. on the third Thursday in November and once it's available for consumption, parties ensue. 1) Bistronomic
Address: 840 N. Wabash
What: Three-course prix-fixe menu of pate, beef bourguignon and banana brioche pudding, which includes a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau.
When: November 15
Price: $39 (excluding tax and tip)

2) Paris Club
Address: 59 W. Hubbard
What: Free tasting of Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais Nouveau along with light appetizers.
When: November 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Price: Admission is free, no RSVP required

3) Mon Ami Gabi
Address: 2300 N. Lincoln Park West
What: Various specials that complement the wine, including cream of garlic soup with savoy cabbage, flageolet beans and duck confit and pan-seared whitefish with red potatoes, Brussels sprout leaves, caramelized garlic and a Beaujolais bacon sauce.
When: November 15 until November 21
Price: varies by dish, reservations optional

4) Cyrano's Farm Kitchen

What: Dinner and a show; can-can music, parodies and a four-course meal including cassoulet, an appetizer, cheese course and dessert.
When: November 15
Price: $45 for the dinner and show; first glass of Beaujolais Noveau is $4. Reservations recommended.

5) Chez Moi

What: Three-course prix fixe, with braised beef cheeks Bourguignon as the main entree.
When: November 15
Price: $35 including a glass of Beaujolais ($29 without). Reservations recommended.

6) Chicago French Market

What: Wine tasting with live music and market samples.
When: November 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Price: Free

7) Bistrot Zinc
Address: 1131 N. State
What: Three-course prix fixe with four different entree choices, an appetizer and dessert.
When: November 15
Price: $32.95, wine is additional at $8 a glass, $36 per bottle.

8) Passport to France
What: Event featuring food from the LM Restaurant Group (LM, Brasserie by LM, Brasserie 54 by LM)
that celebrates all things French with wine, food, music and a silent auction.
When: November 15, 6 to 9 p.m.
Price: $70, $60 for FACC members. Glasses of Beaujolais Nouveau will also be available at all LM restaurants for $6.
