Arami Go, the new fast-casual, counter-service Japanese spot from the team behind acclaimed West Town sushi restaurant, Arami, officially opened today. Arami Go, which was first reported to open in August, has both grab-and-go items and made-to-order bento boxes.

The 16-seat restaurant, located in the heart of Streeterville, has a similar look and feel to Arami with reclaimed wood, bamboo tables and greenery to create a Zen-like environment.

Chef Shin Matsuda (Arami, Slurping Turtle) will oversee the daily menu, which includes ready-to-eat items like edamame (spicy, soy or salty), green bean salad, tofu salad and tuna poke; and bento boxes that cost $10, and come with a choice of rice or soba noodles, a protein, vegetable and other items that customer can select.

Arami Go will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 203 E. Ohio. For more info, call 312-245-3003. In the meantime, check out the full menu:
