Henri Kicking Off Sprited Dinner Series This Wednesday

Things at Henri are about to get a bit more boozy. Starting this Wednesday, the restaurant will begin hosting a spirited dinner series being organized by spirits director Clint Rogers in partnership with the Gage's Thomas Mooneyham and Wirtz Beverage's beverage development manager Eric Hay.

On select Wednesdays through fall and winter, the team will join forces with another mixologist or bartender from around town to present a $100 five-course paired dinner prepared by chef Dirk Flanigan. Each dinner will start at 6 p.m. with a reception featuring a punch crafted by Rogers and Mooneyham. For this first dinner, Henri will welcome Barrelhouse Flat owner Stephen Cole to help create pairings with whiskey as the base spirit.

Future dates already scheduled include Nov. 14 with Mike Ryan from Sable (rum), Dec. 5 with Michael Simon of Carriage House (cognac) and Jan. 23 with Danny Shapiro from Scofflaw (gin). To reserve a spot for this week's dinner or for future dinners, call Henri at 312-578-0763.
